Anyone can get up and running with a brand new e-cig in minutes since electronic cigarettes are simple to use; although they certainly function a bit differently than traditional tobacco cigarettes. In this article, one will discover how to get started immediately.
Open the e-cig packaging
You have to unwrap all the pieces inside the box to get started. Most electronic cigarette brands ship with some battery charge so you should be able to get rolling right away. Come back to this walk through after charging your drained battery for a couple of hours.
The battery, atomizer and cartridge are the 3 main pieces to assemble together. Finding these objects should be easy. You can identify the battery by its length and the presence of a LED on its tip. The atomizer is probably the smallest item in the box with a small braided metallic thing sticking out of one end of it. Actually, the cartridge is nearly the size of the filter for a regular tobacco smoke and has the nicotine formula. Some cartridges have a foil covering, others may have a plastic cap or nothing at all covering the end. Before putting anything together, you need to take off the cover, so start with this first step.
Some assembly required
Assembling the electronic is simple when you have got all the pieces together. Since the atomizer usually screws into one end of the battery, feel free to go ahead and do it. Taking your first puff
What you do after this is based on if you have an automatic or manual battery. If you can't tell, check the outside of your battery for a small button. If this is the case, it's a manual battery, if it's not the case, it is automatic.
Put the cartridge end of the assembled electronic cigarette to your lips and inhale lightly when you have an automatic battery. If your battery is manual you have to do the exact same thing but just push the battery button while you inhale. It might be good to do this while looking at a mirror to find out if the LED on the battery tip has a light. If that doesn't work your battery probably needs recharging.
If your not getting any vapor, but the LED is lit, hold it for a second or two, wait, and try hitting it again. As it might take a while for the nicotine solution to work its way up into the atomizer, you may find that you need to repeat this process 5 - 10 times.
If you are having trouble getting any vapor, trying inhaling a bit harder, but it is not necessary to inhale any harder than a tobacco cigarette.
You should receive enough vapor product at this moment. New atomizers tend to take a day or so to really get working as they should, and some of them have a strange taste at first. It's not unusual and the effect should dissipate within a day.
If no vapor is being produced at this point, slip the cartridge from the atomizer. Is the wick of the atomizer a little wet? There is supposed to be some nicotine solution on it. If the material is damp and there is still no vapor being produced, then the atomizer may have failed. But, it if isn't wet, your nicotine formula may not be receiving the atomizer like it is supposed to.
The nicotine solution should moisten the fabric. Otherwise the cartridge is exhausted.
